ADA in the Workplace
This workshop discusses how to handle disability-related situations
which may occur in a job setting using the Americans with Disabilities
Act. Also covered are the legal rights of the employee with
a disability and individual responsibility. This is offered
in the Fall Quarter.
Computer Technology and Assistive Devices
Key goals of this 2 unit degree applicable class include
technical training and support in the use of assistive
technology and related software programs. Instructors
assist students in developing technology use plans
addressing individual needs. This is offered in the
Winter Quarter.
Career Planning
Personal assessment of interests and abilities, job search
process and interviewing techniques are covered in this
WAIV workshop. Disability related issues will be a
central part of the classroom discussions. This is
offered in the Spring Quarter.
Your Executive Image
This workshop provides attendees with pointers on the
professional way to dress and act when preparing for a
job interview. In addition, body language and etiquette
are also covered in this interactive workshop. This is
offered in the Spring Quarter.
