NOTE: Additions or changes may have been made to these documents since publication on the world wide web. Please consult SSD for current policies.

Handicapped parking spaces are available in every lot on campus. Maps are available from Parking Services and Services to Students with Disabilities (SSD). Every vehicle must display a current CSUSB parking decal. Parking decals are available on a quarterly basis from the Bursar's Office. Daily permits are available from ticket dispensers located at the main University Parkway entrance, Serrano Village Drive and the two dispensers at Coyote Drive. Also additional ones are located in lots A, B, G and one on the median between lots E & F.

Individuals with disabilities, that park in handicapped parking spaces, need to display a DV (Disabled Veteran) or DP (Disabled Person) license plate or a temporary or permanent placard from Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
If the individual with a disability does not have a designated license plate or placard, an Application for Disabled Person Parking Placard may be obtained from the SSD office. The application needs to be filled out by the individual with a disability, then given to his/her physician for Certification of Temporary or Permanent Disability. The application is returned to the individual with a disability and it is his/her responsibility to deliver it to the Dept of Motor Vehicles. If the application is approved, DMV will issue the individual a placard. SSD is only able to provide the individual a temporary Medical Parking Permit for 2 weeks.
The campus parking fee may be waived for students with disabilities who meet the eligibility standards based on demonstrated financial need. To qualify, students must have a DMV PLACARD or similar license plate and meet the federal guidelines for financial aid. The Financial Aid Office will verify the financial need and determine eligibility for the fee waiver. The "Request for Waiver of Campus Parking Fee" form may be obtained from the SSD office.
