Mobility Assistance

The Services to Students with Disabilities (SSD) Office has a 6-passenger, wheelchair accessible, electric cart available to qualified persons with temporary and permanent disabilities. This is an on campus service to transport students from building to building when necessary. To be eligible for this service, students must have a disability-related need which has been verified by a physician. Registration with the SSD office and verification of disability is needed before service can begin. Contact the SSD office to coordinate times and designated pickup locations. Cart service may be limited at times of heavy demand. Urgency of need will dictate priority of use. Mobility assistants will wait no more than 5 minutes at designated pick up points. Students using this service must inform the SSD office if they will not need cart services as arranged. If you miss a ride, cart service will be suspended for the remainder of the day unless you contact SSD. Services will be suspended after 2 no-shows until the student confers with the SSD office. The SSD staff also provides mobility training for learning the physical layout of the campus. Related Information... Services for the Mobility Impaired Student
