We're talking about Course Articulation here. Successful completion of an articulated course assures the student and the faculty that the student has taken the appropriate course at another institution, received the necessary instruction and preparation, and that similar outcomes can be assured, enabling progression to the next level of instruction at the receiving institution.

That is,

If you have taken a course at some institution in California and you find a match here in California State University San Bernardino's Articulation Agreements, you can be assured that that course will be accepted upon enrollment at CSUSB just as though you took it at CSUSB.

Magnifying GlassHOW TO FIND A COURSE

You are about to link to a database which contains articulation agreements for nearly all public colleges and universities in California. It's called ASSIST , and it is the official repository for articulation data in California. In order for you to find a CSUSB course which matches one you've taken at your present school, you'll need to do the following, in this order:

  1. Select California State University, San Bernardino as your first institution.

  2. Select the academic year that you took the course in question.

  3. Select the name of the institution where you took the course ("From:").

  4. Now you can choose whether to display courses by CSUSB Major (e.g., Liberal Studies), by Department Name (e.g., Art),  or by CSUSB General Education/Breadth category.

  5. If you decide to print out the page you're looking at, you'll need to have the Adobe® Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer. If you don't have it, click on the link above to download it. When you have it installed, and you're ready to print out your report, click on the "Printer Friendly Version" box at the top of the page. That will launch your Acrobat Reader®, and you can print any or all pages of the Articulation Agreement document you've selected. Click on the Acrobat printer icon (not your browser's) and select the page numbers that you want to print. Click on the browser's Back button to return to the non-Acrobat ASSIST report.
